At what age did y’all let your babies start sleeping on their belly??
@sadie.w, so I’ve been letting him sleep like that for the past hour and he’s been doing really good lol
@sadie.w, I might try it before I go to bed or tomorrow! Thank you for the advice!
@mommytotheo, I guess I just need to get over my anxiety and fears 😐
@taymw11 mine would roll to his side as well at that age and I just let him sleep on his side
@mommytotheo, he’ll roll to his side sometimes but not all the way to his belly
@sadie.w, Lane came out 10lbs and 1 oz lol yes I sleep with his bassinet next to me anyway when he is in there for the few minutes he stays. I may try tonight and see how it goes. The other night he started on his back and ended up rolling all the way to his side so maybe he’s ready?
I let mine when he started rolling at 5 months when I would place him on his back. He flips as soon as you put him on his back when he's asleep

@iwannaplay, i know but I’m too scared to let him sleep on his belly right now, but my nurses would swaddle and put him on his side
@morelhunter, that’s what I read
@taymw11, it wasn’t about being brave just needing sleep and even the nurses in the hospital would put both of mine tummy down to sleep
@sadie.w, Lane came out a big baby lol but it just sucks I can’t get him to sleep in his bassinet at night so he’s always either on me or next to me in the bed.
@ek620, I definitely want lane to be able to roll on his own before I try it.
@iwannaplay, I wish I was brave enough to do that lol
@babymamaof4, lane will act like he’s gagging sometimes so I literally don’t even take my eyes off of him but I’ve read so much about sids I’m scared to try him on his belly. I am such an over worrier it’s not funny ☹️
My son was the same way but I wouldn’t let him sleep on his belly until he could roll on his own. It was a rough few months but it wasn’t worth the risk for me.
When I had my boys it was suggested at the time for them to sleep on their belly’s so they didn’t spit up and choke and by the time I had my first daughter it had changed to back only but she wouldn’t sleep so I put her on her belly at I think 2 months and she slept great
@sadie.w, yeah lane can pick his head up since day 1 and is good at tossing and turning but I’m terrified of sids so I won’t even try it. I just feel like we would both get more rest if I let him I’m just to scared
@lovefaithkindness, he sleeps so good on my chest I feel like he would actually sleep in the bassinet if he was in his belly, but I am TERRIFIED of sids so I’m not letting it happen lol
At 6 months is my son started wanting to sleep on his belly.
@sadie.w, I’m relaxed and handling it well lol if it was bed time for us both it would probably be a different story 😂😁
