Being around the kitty isn't a problem, they say not to clean the litter box. I was told, though that that was only said because of diseases that can be carried in the poop from eating rats and mice (I'm not sure if that tidbit is accurate or not). Either way being around and playing with the cat will have no harmful effects

Cats are completely fine. The only thing to watch out for is cleaning their cat litter box. If you have to clean out a litter box, just use rubber gloves.

My moms cat won’t leave me alone lol my doctor said she’s fine just don’t go rolling around in her litter lol 😂😺

I thought it was juat kitty litter.

As long as you wash your hands when you’re done touching them you’re fine. I lived with 5 cats while I was pregnant.
