Depends how far dilated u r and if they think u r in actual labor or false labor

This happened to me, and my son came at 33 weeks 😢 I had started bleeding at 2am, went straight to the hospital and was given steroids to help speed up the lungs development. They tried to stop my contractions with magnesium via IV, but it didn't help. Within 5 hours of arrival, my son came ready or not. No clue why this happened the way it did.

That being said... You are in the right place. Try to stay calm and pray about this. I'm hoping that they are able to get your contractions under control, but if not, at least you are right there where you can get immediate help.

Yup. I went a whole month with contractions 3 minutes apart.

@juliam27, yea I think he may be coming and that’s why they stopped the shots cause they don’t want to put him in distress. I’m praying hard for him! Hopefully they stop soon and then he can cook longer.

Ask a nurse or ask to talk to the Dr there. That will be my best advice. They kept me for 4 days before letting me go home. Some end up moving you in and continuously monitor.

@amberspringer, my little one isn’t even active anymore. His heart rate is great but no movement what do ever maybe here and there but not how he usually is. My mom said he’s getting ready to come out. My contractions are getting worse and worse.

I’m glad they put you on steroids! They are trying to get your baby as ready as possible. I know someone that had to stay at the hospital that was in the same situation

@bodybycheetos, they have me steriod shots and they stopped the shots for to help stop labor.

Depends on the doctor. They can choose to keep you there on bed rest while monitoring you. They can send you home, probably on bed and pelvic rest. Have they given you steroid shot and shots to stop labor?
