Do u correct other people’s children when out in public? So we are at the bounce house and there is this little boy who keeps fighting with my kids. So of course I corrected my Children’s behavior. Then I see this little boy hit my 3 year old right in the face with a ball. He did it on purpose because he was mad at my son. Well anyway I went right up to the little boys and said “no we don’t hit each other”. So my question is do u ladies so things like this? I’m sorry but I’m not going to let another child hit my child. I will always say something if I see something like that while out with me kids. What are your thoughts on the subject? Of course I was nice about the way I approached the kid. But his mother was just standing there not correcting him so I did. Sorry not sorry

In a situation like that I would. I usually say “no let’s be nice” and simple things like that.

Definitely don’t be sorry! It’s sad that you’d have to correct another child while their mother is right there. But most definitely a simple sweet, “it’s not nice to throw things at hit each other. And if you do it again then you cant play with my son anymore” something like that.

I absolutely would and I have. I strongly believe in the whole it takes a village concept. I also feel that if my daughter did something and I didn't see it I would hope that someone else would correct her as well be it appropriately. Fortunately, I constantly keep an eye on my child when we are out in places with other children. I don't just let her run amok while I play on my phone and pay no attention.

I did comfort my son first then I simply said to the other child “no we don’t hit” “we need to play nice” it was an ongoing thing. About 15mins it so they were all fighting. My son also hit him and I asked the little boy if he was on then I told my son that he cannot hit and if he continued then he would have to leave that area. They then started playing nicely together.

I have and I would do it again. Not the same scenario, but a little boy in my daughter’s daycare class hit her and I saw him do it, so I grabbed her and then said to him “we do not hit others, play gently or don’t play with her” and went about my business.

Yes I have. I’m not letting no one mess with my kids. If they are doing something wrong and the parents are not doing anything I am going to say something. I mean nothing crazy just like “Be nice” and “ Don’t do that” and stuff like that.

K I mean I do it quite often. Like when in lines for things like say the slide at the park. I make sure that my kids get their turn and make sure they don’t cut in front of other kids. I’m trying to teach them to be respectful of others. And the way some kids act it’s insane. Having to tell an 8 year old that my son was in front of him in line is crazy. Like u saw him standing there waiting. And my 5 year old is very passive. He would let people walk all over him!! That’s not happening on my watch

Transgender children So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are your thoughts on the matter? Do u think the parents are behind this? Idk because I haven't met the parents or children. I just think at 5 it's very young for children to really understand. What do u ladies think?
