My baby is now two days old and she sleeps ALLLLLL day and night. I mean she wakes up to eat and when we change her and that’s about it. I guarantee she sleeps more than 20 hours. Thoughts?

baby sleeping too much? Is it possible? My 9 week old sleeps allll day and allll night.... She's awake about 4 hours a day maybe 5. It's to the point I have trouble getting her to eat. She sleeps so heavily I can't wake her without serious effort. She saw her pedi yesterday and she is healthy. But is it normal for them to sleep soooo much...
So I have a 3 day old newborn and she will not sleep in her bassinet .. She just wants me to hold her while she sleeps and we all know that is tiring so any tips or advice ?
My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤

No need to worry like everyone said as long as shes waking to eat and getting the diapers in she needs to all is good. Newborns sleep a lot

Sleep, eat, poop and snuggle is the life of a newborn. Gradually she will become more awake and alert. If she is eating, has good diaper output and is gaining weight then I wouldn’t worry.

That’s perfectly fine for a 2 day old baby. As long as she’s eating, pooping, and peeing, she can sleep however long she needs. I would take this time to get some rest yourself! The only time I would wake her would be if she is not waking up herself to eat during the day. I never let mine go longer than 2-3 hours during the day at that age before eating. Their doctor told me I didn’t have to wake them during the night though as long as they were gaining weight.
