Parenting advice plz. I have a 2 year old toddler I'm introducing her to potty training already and I need tips if you have any on how you all got your little ones to start going alone or atleast letting you know they need to use the restroom. Thank you!!!😊
@phoebesmommy Sadly, when my stuff was transferred my posts all got cut off. I lost so much! 😭 Thankfully the comments are all still there.
@phoebesmommy Thanks! I set the timer for every 20 minutes. I kept new books and a few changes of clothes stocked in the bathroom.
@yayacarrington, thank you! You’re always a wealth of information 😘
How often did you do potty breaks?
@phoebesmommy I've done both. With my first 2 boys we did underwear during the day. With my last one, I let him run around naked from the waist down. None of them took longer than 3 days to train. I've had the process take up to 2 weeks for other children I've trained with this method in a daycare setting.
@yayacarrington, did you do not bottoms or undies?
@yayacarrington, from what you posted my girl is definitely ready! Thanks for posting.
@phoebesmommy I would start trying. I think I need to update that sign. A lot of children are ready to daytime train long before they can do overnights. I did pull-ups for overnights until my boys woke up dry for a full week.
@yayacarrington, hi! So my dd can do all of that but never wakes up dry.. is she not ready? Should I not try??
Signs Of Potty Training Readiness
He* can verbalize or show you in some way that he needs to go, not just that he's already gone.
He starts to hide or stands/ squats in place to poop.
He starts having bowel movements at the same time each day.
He starts to wake up from bedtime and naps with a dry diaper.
He shows an interest in going potty and does not have a fear response when placed on the potty.
Once these milestones are reached it's time to start. I block out a week to be at home with no major outings. Though it usually takes less time. Make sure that anyone caring for your child knows that you have begun the process. If you are a working mom it's best to start when you have a couple days off at home and let his daycare know that you are actively training. Some kids respond well to lots of excitement and praise, others become frightened or overstimulated by the pressure to "perform". Decide what level of enthusiasm is best for your child and go from there.
*I used "he" because I have boys, but the signs are the same for girls.
In my experience, I have found this to be the least stressful and quickest way to approach potty training. Let me know if you have any questions. I hope this helps!
I made a post about the signs of potty training readiness when I was on Baby Bump. If you're interested, I can post it for you here.
I need to ask someone this have you literally regret having a child with someone. I love my daughter with all my heart but I really regret ever being with her dad.
Question 🙋🏽♀️: what age do you allow your kids to have a cell phone?
My son wants a phone and I don’t know why lol. I’m like you have a iPad for games and anyone you need to call you can have my phone.

So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.
We took him to the bathroom every hour. We stopped putting diapers and pull ups on him. We sang and danced clappeed when he went in the potty. He just turned three and hasn't had an accident in a month.
One mistake I made was putting pull ups or diapers on him after we started training. Once he had a few accidents with no diaper he learned very fast.
