I have a question. I Want everyone's true opinions. This is just a question that I've always been curious about and I just wanna See what other People have to say on the topic. Do y'all think having a miscarriage is the same as losing a child?
Lanie Jay·
Can you clarify? Miscarriage is a lost baby...
Sonja Griffith·
@laniejay like a child who has been living . My bad.

I think everyone has there own emotion I've had a few to many miscarriages and for me it truly hurt I always wonder what could have been and count their passing as a birthday... but my hubby is one that's says dont even bring it up out of sight out of mind I dont get anything else out of him 🙄😔

After 3 miscarriages and one live birth I have to say no for me. I can’t speak about how other people feel though, especially someone currently going through a miscarriage. I think everyone will feel differently about this topic.
The love I have for my daughter is so indescribably strong and it’s not comparable to how I felt before my miscarriages or even during my pregnancy. However I would fully support anyone who feels they are comparable.

I would like to add that I often think about my three unborn children, especially on their due dates. I will always love them and mourn their losses.
Stephany·
Yes I believe so.

I say yes. You never know how people react to things. To some they may get over it and go on with life and some people may hold on to it.

This is my personal experience first hand from a very close friend of mine, she had a miscarriage and kept it secret. She was depressed but able to continue her life. Then she lost her first born son tragically at 3 months old to sids. She has never been the same. She was fortunate to have two more children but she still mourns the lost of her first born. She had mental break downs, she was extremely depressed and broken down. It wasn’t until her second son was born she was able to feel better and be herself, but she still to this day mourns her son. She’s never spoken about the miscarriage to me or anyone else that I know of, but she is still and I think always will be devastated by the tragedy of losing her 3 month old.

I lost my second baby during delivery at 36 weeks. We got to hold him and had a funeral for him and we see his grave often. That was the worst day of my life. Fast forward, I had a missed miscarriage with my 4th. I was devastated but it was very different for me personally. Both were equally devastating but having gone through labor and having to bury my baby was much harder on me. For me personally, having to bury my baby was harder than going through the miscarriage.

I may get some heat for this, but I think there is a pretty big difference between the types of loss... Miscarriage, stillbirth, and the death of an infant or child... I've seen all three personally, though only experienced a miscarriage myself, and make no mistake each is loss, but they are not the same.

@matronmagyk I agree completely.

@matronmagyk I had a miscarriage last year but thinking about losing my daughter would be soooooo different!

Yes. I had a miscarriage at 20weeks, the baby was a boy & I took it harder than I did with my daughter she was considered a still birth because she was over 20 weeks. @alanasmommy81815,
