What's wrong with me? I just refuse to take advice from a moron who allows her child to chew on a rawhide dog bone and justify it with "it's extra immunity!" And then the dad saying "it's okay. He gets a lot of calcium and has strong teeth!" Are. You. Effing. Kidding. Me?!? Literally on the package "not for human consumption". The issue isn't his dental health. 🙄

Probably not the best idea but I as children and parents do a lot worse than chew on a dog treat. Maybe you could nicely let them know your concerns.

@kambam he picked up his grandma's dog's bone off the floor and was proceeding to chew on it. She didn't hand it to him, but she had zero intention/common sense to put a stop to it...
Haha!!! Pretty much my response... He started bawling when I took it, and I just acted like I didn't know what he was upset over 😂 He then took the toy I tried to give him earlier.

@leroydoom for real. I was beside myself when I saw this. She then told me "try to trade him for a toy." He didn't want the toy. So when they weren't looking, I snatched it from him and threw it behind the couch.
Dogs choke on rawhide bones. Plus, they don't digest them well. Vets don't even want people giving them to their dogs. 😫

It's already been insane and they've only been here since Sunday. They're staying for two weeks with the in-laws, who live right next door to us, so we will be seeing a lot of them... 😕
@mhbbb2 I did let them know, and they gave the excuses that it's "extra immunity" and "he has good teeth". And refused to take it from him after being told why it's not okay to allow him to have it. The dog had chewed on it. It's not for human consumption. It honestly came down to neither of them wanting to stop gaming for two minutes to correct the situation and teach him.
