I love breastfeeding it just hurts, how many women work n breastfeeding feed... how can i do the same
I do! Here are a couple tips; instead of washing parts all day at work, pump, rinse the parts, and store them in a large ziplock bag and place the ziplock bag with the parts in the fridge. You can use the parts all day long if you keep them refrigerated (and actually for up to 24 hours). And last, make sure you pump every 2-3 hours to keep your supply up. If you’re off schedule from your baby’s that day (meaning you’re pumping before or after baby is getting a bottle) that is ok. The only one that is NOT ok, is the last pump of the day. Make sure you pump at least when baby is eating or even a little bit before so that you don’t empty out, go home, and baby expects to eat but you just pumped everything you had.
I do! I pump on a schedule every 2-3 hours, i don't get lunch breaks per se, i just get 15 minute breaks every so often to pump and clean my parts. I also got an adapter to pump in my car if needed on my way home or to work. I always keep storage bags in my pump bag in case i forget bottles. i keep travel size nipple cream and some breast pads.
I worked & pumped with both kids, & planning to do so with this one too. I fed baby as close to leaving for work as possible, then pumped at work, & the moment I got home. I also pumped from one breast while feeding baby from the other sometimes which helped keep my milk production strong.
@rickyrayates93, it’ll definitely help. I like the pumping bc it helped me see how much I was/am producing. And others could feed him. Good luck with everything? Did u get ur pump from your insurance company yet?
I did and plan to do it again. I pumped while at work. I had a schedule and stuck with it. You will need to make a schedule for yourself. I pumped every 3 hours. So as soon as I got to work and during my lunch. When I got home, that was the first thing I did. I hope that helps
