What is the difference between oxygen bleach and washing soda? I've seen posts about using oxy-clean and other posts about washing soda. Does one work better than the other? I have tried using oxy clean on clothes to make them whiter but I've seen no difference. Hubby has some white tshirts that are grey for him washing them with dark clothes. Would washing soda help (would also like to know what is better for cloth if its needed)

I'm confused about bleach and water temperature, too. I read somewhere it works better in cold water. Can anyone clarify/explain?

Thanks for posting! I wonder if all of these are safe for a HE washer? Lemon juice seems rather sticky and I really can't afford to ruin our washer!
