Our prowraps lasted until her OS diapers. We went from newborn to OS. They also come in small, medium, larger of you want them to last longer.

Are you buying any used? Sometimes you can get really good deals... You can look on babycenter under community just search cloth diaper swap, Facebook has several cloth swaps...baby center had a listing for workhorses it was like 17 newborn for 75$ but u could offer a little less... Just thought I'd let you know... I almost never buy new lol... I just do a really hot wash with oxiclean, detergent, and 5 drops tea tree oil and grapefruit seed extract to disinfect... :)

@Jennifer I kno, it's stupid. I was so furious when they told me that. lol

and I meant 4 boingos, as in 2 sets. although I'm sure I'll have to order more. I lose EVERYTHING. lol. I'd lose my head if it wasn't attached :)

@wiggles, I want to get some but we are on a tight budget. we have exactly the money for what I have listed here. and then my MIL and best friend are each buying us 2 tots bots teeny fit.

I never used his bummis I loved his xsmall thirsties and thirsties duo which he can still wear at almost 5 months... I would suggest some of GMD workhorse size small fitteds... We love them and he still wears them... A little easier than a prefold I got the ones without snaps to get a better fit..

that's strange that they wont at least give you store credit! both walmart & target where i live let me get a gift card in exchange :/

That sound's like a good stash, you won't need 4 sets of boingos though. I started with just 1 snappi & we were fine with just that

Oh that stinks! :-/ I actually always have some disposables around...mostly back up in the diaper bag. But we had to use disposables for a trip (week in a hotel), so we used a lot then. So you might get through them even if you use cloth wipes...but I understand wanting to get rid of them. Good luck!! :)

we are planning on getting a couple nb tots bots :) autumn said she really liked them for overnights. and I think they are cute :)

partially the reason I'm sticking with disposable wipes is because we have a ton from our baby showers. and Wal-Mart will not take them on return. they only let you exchange them for different ones. they are that way with sposies too. and so is target. dummies. lol

Understandable! I felt the same way and initially planned to use disposable wipes...until I read about disposables going through the washer/dryer accidentally, and ending up all over the diapers in little pieces! :-/ So if you really decide to do disposables, find a kind that are sturdy enough to make it through the wash, in case. Also, remember that you will want both a diaper pail and garbage pail at your changing station...otherwise you will have no place to put them while you are changing. Good luck!! :)

@jd how long do the prowraps fit? I'm wanting some that will last thru the inbetween nb and OS stage. cuz we are only planning on using prefolds until she is into OS pockets and AIOs.

we are planning on getting aplix in all the covers.

@tess I don't want to overwhelm myself to start out. so we are going to stick with disposable wipes. once I get in the groove of the cloth diapering and laundry routine then we might switch :)

the AIOs we already have are 2 GroVia nb and 4 lil joeys :)

Oh, and good luck!

PS, cloth wipes are no harder. I feel like they are easier. Certainly cheaper too!!

That should be enough for every-other-day laundry...much better than the every-day-laundry I was doing at that stage! :) Also, I wasn't a fan of BG newborns. They didn't hold enough pee for my heavy wetter by week 3...and since he had really skinny thighs, that was when I finally felt like they were fitting well! :-/

Oh don't forget wipes! If your going to use cloth that is.

That sounds good! We had two newborn RaR covers in snaps and did not like them. It was an awkward fit and they were stiff. I'm not sure if Velcro would have been better. We had a prowraps cover in newborn and LOVED it! Much cheaper and perfect trim fit WITH umbilical cord dip.
