I need your opinions.
So this weekend was my sons 6th birthday. He was at his dads for the weekend, so when he came home today I asked how his weekend was. He tells me it went okay, but he was a bit sad. When I asked him why he told me his dad didn’t get him anything for his birthday. I brushed it off as maybe my ex split on something with his mom or whatever, and tried to downplay the issue with my son so he wasn’t so upset.
Anyway, I talked to my ex’s mom later today because she’s watching my son over the summer break. She brings up that my ex didn’t get my son anything. Then she proceeds to tell me he hasn’t bought him anything for the past year for any holiday (Christmas, etc.) my son knows not everyone is going to get him something, but this is his DAD. Should I bring it up or let it go?
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
This is kind of tough. I might bring it up as mildly as possible and ask if there's a reason that his dad isn't giving him gifts anymore? Maybe he's tight on money. Or maybe he just decided he's not buying gifts anymore. But I think I would at least want to know if he plans to continue not getting gifts for his son so that you can set that expectation with him rather than your son being disappointed at every holiday because Dad didn't get him anything again.
