@kambam, This post was meant as a funny vent, but your tips worked and I’ve gone from full on biting/scraping and bleeding nips to being able to enjoy nursing again. ❤️🤱🏻 This has been a HUGE relief, especially since his first upper tooth erupted this week. Thank-you. 🙏🏻

@kambam, thanks for the advice. I’m going to keep at it. I feel so stupid for not thinking redirection 🤦🏻‍♀️. I wonder if this could have been resolved last month. Oh well. The world needs ditch-diggers, too.

I think 5 could be enough but I would always try to redirect my son to something else and if he still wanted to nurse we would go again.

@kambam, what would you consider a short break? I’ve been trying for 5 minutes, but I also have been running into my baby crying really hard... which makes me feel terrible, hence the inconsistency.

Gotta be somewhat consistent. I always tell other moms:

Take boob away immediately

Say nothing

Offer child real teething item

Try again after a short break

Repeat as necessary
