If you were living there you can’t just leave and decide not to pay rent. And if you want your son go get him, don’t expect someone to bring him to you.

I think these are two separate issues. It's hard to know what advice to give without more backstory. But I do hope that you are able to work it out and see your son very soon.

Not that I agree with what he's doing but where I am from he doesn't have to give him back to you if you have no custody agreement. The cops will tell you that you will have to settle it in court most likely. And he could take you to court for not paying rent! Sounds all around messy situation. Hopefully, you can both soon coparent more peacefully for your sons sake.

@cameronsmommy17 if he won't bring him to you then you will have to go get him. Without anything going to court he can keep him. I went thur this and didn't see my daughter for 3 months until we went to court. Cops can't make him give your son to you.
