Ladies please help I’m freaking out I’m no doctor or anything but my son was breathing weird so I started to listen to his check he was breathing like he held his breath then breathed super deep well I decided to listen to his heart it’s 84 beats a minute while sleeping but his heart doesn’t sound right it beats super fast then completely stops for about 4-5 seconds I’ve never heard this before like for that time I can’t hear any beating or anything in there I’m scared what should I do

@mommyof3babies2016 when it starts again it's fast. And sometimes painful. I've had it since I was a little kid.

I have a heart murmur and mine stops for a couple seconds. mine also skips a beat
I would make an appointment with his doctor and have them refer you to a cardiologist.

Heart palpitations I get them that’s when your heart skips beats and goes out of rhythm don’t even risk anything like that with a baby definitely seek a professional opinion hun
I really think it could be the murmur. I was born with one and a valve defect and sometimes I really can't find my damn heartbeat
Your body has its own pacer system. This system can have issues and failures hence pacemakers. If you are noticing that he is having irregular beats you take him straight to the hospital and get him on a monitor. Even if you aren't sure at this point, go. The risk is too great.
@wild_flower94, because I want advice the er that’s near me sucks really bad I’ve had them misdiagnose his rsv and his influenza a so I will not take him there so I would like advice before I got in the car and drive half a hour to a good hospital
Take him in. If you’re concerned there’s a problem, definitely take him to see a doctor now.
@wild_flower94, like I said he has a heart murmur I’ve known this but in between beats it just makes a whispering noise when you have a heart murmur I have been listening for about 49 minutes now and it beats super super fast then stops for about 4 seconds then it’s start up fast again

I think it might possibly just be a murmur or nothing serious. Don’t work yourself up. Have a doctor check it out just for peace of mind but if his heart actually stopped beating, he wouldn’t be alive
@kambam, I have been going to medical school for a year now you will not necessarily die when your heart stops beating there’s many reasons why this could happen he has had a heart murmur since he was born but I’ve listened to him his whole life and I’ve never heard anything like this in him
If your heart stops beating you would die. Sometimes you can't hear different beats without a well placed stethoscope. He could also have a murmur but they should have caught that already. I would make an appt with his pedi so you can check up on him. Lay with him and keep an eye on him.

Is a Baby's Heart Rate of 110-114 Normal?
Is it okay for baby's heart beat to drop to 110-114??? Matt is freaking out. I'm still here at hospital on monitor and we lost his heart beat for awhile and then I started moving the piece to find his heart beat and that's what it's giving us. It's normally in the 140-160
Super pissed yall cuz ever since he was 2 months old I’ve asked the doctor how we can fix his flat head and up until the age of 8 months our answer was ‘tummy time’ which we did. But here he is almost 9 months and I took him to a different pediatrician and she tells me a helmet won’t fix his head and he will most likely he will need surgery. I’m upset, frustrated, scared, and sad. I don’t understand why nobody did anything for him when I asked a million times and now it’s too late
It’s super hard to see in my sons mouth since he was tiny but I’m thinking he’s lip tied? I don’t know much abt it, any input would be helpful.
Also has anyone seen anything like the second pic I noticed it this morning, my first guess was a tooth was pushing out but I can’t feel anything hard, but it’s hard to tell. Hoping he opens his mouth alil more so I can see

I had a doc. App. The other day and I’m a few days shy of 9 weeks and still no heart beat how normal is this? He also tried using two of his machines and weren’t able to pickup anything.
If this is definitely new, I would take him to ER like other ladies said. Especially if he also has a new irregular breathing pattern or difficulty breathinh
