@mommyofaqueen my sil got her children taken away from her for drug use, got pregnant again and gave custody to my mother, she was aloud around her children though but not in her custody it was a really strange situation.. but once she was able to have the kids my mother gave her custody back.. honestly theyd find out shes better off coming out clean and try giving custody to someone close like my sil did, if they go in the sytem so much harder to get back :/ best of luck to her and the kids hun

@mommyofaqueen if he has nothing against him she should be able to but that is something to be brought up with the case worker, if shes not aloud to be around her children besides certain times and/or has to be supervised then its a sticky situation if they live together because then she wont be able to give custody to someone whom she lives with and would need another proof of residency:/

I honestly don't think the hospital and dcsf share records in that way. I don't see how they would find out in less she informed the hospital she was in harm or danger, etc.

I'm just trying to figure out at what point will she reveal the new baby, now that may cause conflict in the future, right? Also, don't know if the new baby would have any justification or not on the pending case; I would think not. But I would be trying to figure out that answer if I were her.

@angelfoodcake, She doesn’t plan on telling the case worker due to the fact that she refuses to go through that heart break again she’s been fighting for her children for two going on three years now they’ve told her as long as she’s making an effort to get her kids back they would not take the new baby but out of fear she doesn’t trust it

@mommyofaqueen Understood, I would try to contact a sw for her county and ask a general question, or use some legal resources thru internet search... I don't believe a new child has any presence over an existing case so she shouldn't be obliged to tell her. And I'm pretty sure hospital will not inform dcfs - they ain't that good and I'm sure her case ain't that high profile lol - seriously wishing her the best and better future. Love.

@mommyofaqueen, yes they would find out and she would have better luck telling them herself. She can give custody to the dad.
