Well looks like we just really aren't meant to start a family. I'm so tired of stuff always happening 😢 I have pcos and my tubes are blocked. Specialist said the only way was IVF. Thought we were fully covered but after getting our hopes up and them saying we are ready to start our first go around, they called and said insurance does not cover us, only my mother because it's her insurance. We would have to pay $10,000+ to start IVF. By the time we have that saved, I'll be too old to even try. I'm just done with everything. I don't know why I thought it would even happen for us 😢

@kellynicole eventually, whenever the time comes but I don't think my jobs insurance would cover it either

@amandax1031 I've been to so many doctors/specialists. I have 2 blocked fallopian tubes, literally the only other option is surgery to get them unblocked but it would do more harm then good for me in the long run.

Don’t give up.... you still have options. I know a lot of people don’t like Obama Care but you can sign up during open enrollment and start coverage in January. Pick a plan that covers IVF. Your premium might be high (depending on tax credits) but it will only be a couple of months and it will definitely be way less than $10,000. Once you get pregnant you stop paying and the insurance cancels.

I’ve heard that you can get insurance through Starbucks that covers IVF if you work for them part-time. I’m not sure how long you’d have to work there before it kicks in. Realistically, if you’re wanting to start a family, it’s probably better that you get off your mom’s plan anyway. I know how expensive IVF is. We are over 30K in. Luckily, we had a lot in savings because we’d otherwise have to go into debt. Our insurance paid almost nothing... and we have good insurance 😔

Most medical stuff is cheaper in other countries, if it is something you could do i’d look into it

Have you ever heard of serrapeptase? In your case it’s worth a shot to start taking them! Look up doctors best serrapeptase on amazon and read the reviews. They’ve helped several women unblock their tubes.
