Today my favorite nurse for my son in the nicu told me that when my son was really sick all the other nurses were saying that he wasn’t going to make it but she prayed for him and kept telling the other nurses that he was going to survive and come out of this stronger than ever. It is nurses like her that I thank God for everyday. When they were all rooting against him, she was by his side everyday making sure he was good. It brings tears to my eyes and makes my hurt heavy that those nurses didn’t believe that my son would make it..and when I look back it I see where nurses just would sit there in my face and tell me things knowing they didn’t believe in him. I have to make sure I do something nice for her before my son leaves the hospital..any ideas?
