So my ob told me I'll be having Nst testing every week now... What shouldi expect??

Thank you so much girly 💗 When are they going to start testing her?! I’m praying for you both! I imagine it’s rough, and scary since GD is mom and baby not just mom. But you got this.. just do what they say and try not to stress on it mommas 💗Obviously easier said than done tho I know. Yes that and the steroids they said is probably making it go up.. i got tested like 8 weeks ago and we didn’t have it so I don’t think it’s affecting him much. They are going to do a in depth ultrasound to decide surgery date for either this weekend or sooner. Soo nervous lol
@viktoria211 Yes from the heart rate increasing and decreasing. You can hear the movements on the machine. Pretty nice to hear, makes me sleepy lol.
@kayliajbristow95 YEESSSS when I googled it I was MORTIFIED!!! when I read that😭😭😭! I didn't ask my OB tho maybe I should have Lol but again thanks for clearing that up it's a stress reliever!!. Ohh okay I'm sorry your going threw that😢😢 but that's good they are keeping eyes on you and your baby❤️. Okay I hope when I test everything is fine w her😭 I'm so worried. And well GD is rough! I'm still learning everything to be honest.. I got diagnosed about a week or 2 ago so I'm just here trying to do everything they're telling me🤦🤦. It's hard and I worry about my daughter constantly 😢... I'm taking metformin they might up it because my fasting numbers aren't where they want them. Yes I heard it's common for glucose levels to go up tords the end of pregnancy so maybe that's why yours is going up a bit?
@viktoria211, I was soo mad at google (cause I was a little worried after seeing that, naturally) lol. But then my OB went into better description to make me feel better. & of course girly! I get mine cause of heart issues, pre eclampsia and I’m not getting enough oxygen in my body (which can affect and stress baby out). But yeah they will do the BPP ultrasound if they don’t get 2 reactive heart rate jumps, or if baby stays at a flat line for too long. I’ve had to have two. Then they give you a score out of 8 for baby. If you get a 6/8-8/8 they will call it a successful BPP. If not they will take some more drastic measures. So it’s like a step process. I hope they go well for you! How’s the gd? (My glucose just started to rise pretty high so they’re checking it everyday now, but I don’t know like anything about it)

I get 4 a day. It’s mostly to check baseline heart beat compared to contractions.. for fetal destress. Just a basic test, not used for an increased risk of death. Although google does say that one a website (I looked it up when I started getting them). But it’s really just for movement, heartbeat and contractions to see how they interact with each other. If the NST in unresponsive they will will do a BPP which will show and tell sooo much more about babies status.
@teebear74 no she moves a lot but my ob is doing this because I got gestational diabetes

They hook u up to a machine and it measures your baby's heartbeat and if you are having any contractions for about 20 mins. You can hear your baby's heartbeat the whole time. I eat something beforehand to make sure she's moving around.
