But why? Why bring your sick kids around other kids? Why? I don’t understand.
It only gets worse in public school. My son was sick for 3 weeks in a row because someone else let their sick kid come to school. He missed so many days, he’s even more behind on his work, and he has special needs. Nothing is more infuriating than seeing sick kids at school. They should be kept at home.
This is why I'm not looking forward to my kids starting school in the future. I would never send my kid to school sick, especially if they have a fever or the first couple days of any sickness, that's when you are most likely to spread it. I'm not looking forward to constantly being sick when they bring something home. That's gonna suck when I'm taking care of 3
@laniejay, I see. The preemptive work that some parents go through to fake it is dead wrong.
And you are the SCUM OF THE EARTH if you send your kids to school with head lice. 🤬
@klazaro, Our school has a clear policy. I understand if the policy is different. It if the policy says “don’t” then don’t.. kids have to be fever, diarrhea, and vomit free for 48 hours before they can come back. It pisses me off that my son misses so much school because I follow the rules and then when he goes back to school there is some kid with a fever and boom my son is sick again in a few days. Especially because my son is prone to fever seizures. No ones “convince” should be placed higher than a child’s wellbeing.
@sincerepolicy, the problem is the parents who disguise it with meds, don’t wait the 24 hours to be symptom free, say it’s allergies, don’t disclose their kid was puking all night, etc. Once the kids are already there and before it’s been discovered— too late.
Parents use their personal discretion which may be perceivably loose or rigid from one person to the next. Not the same, but my daughter was once a topic of discussion because her hair beads “were a potential safety hazard to the other kids.” Parents lined up to let me have it but I let THEIR ass have it. (she’s biracial and damn right I took it there, they hold her type of hair down.) My point: Take it up with the nursery and cite their own policies. The school needs to be pressured to enforce their own rules and/or clearly define them especially as it pertains to symptomatic children.
My son is sick now thanks to a mom in church insisting her son only has allergies😐
I agree on this, I don’t want my kid getting sick from others, its the worse ..
@knockout, that’s even worse- they don’t even have to work excuse
@lulu85_18, Oh I totally agree both of my kids are in school. And it just keeps going around and around because people keep sending their kids to school sick
@cams, Yeah I don’t either I’m a stay at home mom But there is a nursery at my church on Sunday and I cringe every time I see a sick kid

This is why I don’t send my kids to daycare.
@aengs2, Yes because I love getting my kids home sick and paying for Drs visits and medication because someone else didn’t wanna take care of their sick kids.
It would stop cycling through if people kept their sick kids home 🤷🏼♀️
@knockout, Sure, let me pay for daycare while I keep my son home for 2 whole weeks a month with a cough and a stuffy nose. That's impossible with a Minnesota winter. Everyone is always sick for 6 months straight. 🤷🏼♀️
@aengs2, if it’s contagious keep it at home 😷
Like, sick with a cold? My son is allowed at daycare with a cold. If he has the flu, a fever, vomiting, or diarrhea then I have no choice but to miss work.
Biggest pet peeve 😡😡 it’s your responsibility to have a back up plan so don’t use work as an excuse!
Moms ...is your kids allowed in your bed/room? Why or why not?
What's your kid(s) name and why ? Should be interesting 🤔
I don't get how someone will get another persons name tatted on them.... Why. Why?
Kids and family are different but... 🙄
Question:
(And I know this is a hot topic. But I'm not looking for or sharing my opinion. I'm looking for scientific backing.)
If your kid is vaccinated against super bad ugly diseases why the FUCK should you care if another kid in their class isn't? Isn't the whole point of vaccinating to make your kid NOT contract it from another? So why should you care if other kids aren't vaccinated if yours are!? This just doesn't make sense to me. Am I correct, or am I ignorant? #maybeimjustconfused
