Question ?
I took my 4 yr old daughter to the eye doctor today for her annual check-up and he suggested I have her tested for dyslexia.
She has a stigma in both her eyes (hyperopia and astigmatism). She’s been wearing glasses for over a year and now needs a stronger prescription. I personally don’t see any signs or symptoms of dyslexia in her. She will be attending Pre-K this Fall, so I don’t want it to be an issue for her to struggle academically. I’m going to make an appointment with her pediatrician to see if he feels that she needs to be seen and recommended to a specialist for further testing. If you have any advice it would be greatly appreciated or if you have a child with dyslexia can you be share any signs, symptoms or experiences with me. Thank you for your time.
