House hunting 🏡
For almost two months we were house hunting. We almost bought one house (new build) in Waltham Cross, but then changed our mind at the early stage as the area wasn’t very impressive and there was a very busy road nearby. Then we continued looking.
I was going to various places with new developments during the week and what was worth seeing my husband visited on the weekend.
I found it funny how everyone said that I am brave to travel around with a baby. However, it was not so hard: we only did 1 viewing per day and generally my daughter is relatively an easy baby. And she certainly loves going places.
So the search continued and early April we seemed to find something worth getting. Location was amazing, it was a new house with 4 well proportioned bedrooms, lovely kitchen, living room and large garden area. At this point we are at the stage where we should be signing contract...
But... a few weeks ago we realized that there is a substation (small house with some electrical stuff) nearby. It is not really in front of the house, but sort of on the side. Between the house and substation there is at least 3-4 or even 5 meters. When we first came there for a viewing the house was still in construction, so I haven’t really noticed this substation.
So as you may understand now we don’t know what to do. Tomorrow we will have someone to make an investigation for us and check if it is safe etc.
If answer will be negative... well.. then we might have to continue the search again 🙈
