I'm finding it hard to get my 12 week old little girl to go asleep on her own in the cot I have to rock her asleep in my arms and put her down in the cot. If I put her in cot to settle herself she really screams and goes really red in face till I pick her up anyone have any ideas how I can get her to settle herself please??
My 7 month old has only recently started to self soothe x
Is she in a cot or crib? Some babies don't like the space. I used to roll up blankets and place them either side of Max. I don't have the stamina or patience for rocking so didn't with either of mine. Not routinely anyway. It may just take time. I'd lay them down and leave them a few moments. Keep going back to reassure them. I'd pick them up if they got too upset have a cuddle then lay them back down. Trying to leave them a little longer each time. I also tried putting tops of mine in or a muslin I'd previously had in bed with me so it had my scent 😂
@mrsmowmow my daughter really fights me when I'm rocking her in my arms but she kicks off in the cot too and screams so loud for me to pick her up. Her cot is nexts to my bed xx
Put something in her cot that you've wore so she has your smell, some babies don't like all the open space my daughter never so I put her back in her chicco next to me and sleeps so much better x
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
I need to ask someone this have you literally regret having a child with someone. I love my daughter with all my heart but I really regret ever being with her dad.
My daughter won't settle in her cot and will only settle if she's getting a cuddle on a night time. I've literally tried everything. She will not settle down no matter what and I have no clue what to do anymore. any ideas? xx
I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! All she wants to do is eat and I can't have her attached to me all day, everyday! She has wanted to eat every hr on the hr for the past 3hrs! I put her in her room so I don't scream at her but I just can't take it!

My 6 year old and I got our nails done today. She got her first manicure and they painted Olaf on her thumb! Some people have expressed that they think she's to young to be getting a manicure. I used the manicure as a bribe to get her to stop biting her nails and if it works...I'm going to keep taking her bi weekly when I go for a fill. I remember my parents not letting me get a manicure until I was in high school. Is it really so strange for a little girl to regularly get manicures?
@sara-lou86 she is in the cot she is the same with Moses basket she just wants me 24/7 to cuddle her and to be with her 24/7 but I find it hard because I need to get on and do things I would like to start doing bed routine but it's so hard at the moment she's only 12 weeks x
