I have gestational diabetes, my sugars were most at 300 and been eating healthier this week to bring it down and today before dinner I'm glad to say I went down to 104 it's still a little high but not as much as it has been for the past 3 days😏😏😏😏
My sugar never got back to normal with Lily. I took insulin shots and changed my diet and everything. But, on the bright side it did even out right before I went into labor and I lost a lot of the baby weight fast due to the diabetic diet. No carbs! No white starches! It's hard but worth it.
@haneefsmommy yeah but carbs turn into sugar. Me cutting most carbs and sugar I keep mine before 120 at all times now. Which is really good
@angel.simenthy I know how that feels it's depressing at times. For me it doesn't matter how hard I try it's just hard and my ob even told me if o down bring it down she was going to dismiss me for not being compliant. Like it's stuff that I try to control but it's just hard.
@lizsouthwick yes, is super hard I'm almost due and I'm just now starting to get the hang of it. I'll probably slack one of these days 😣
I've actually stop eating all types of breads, pastas, sugars and sodas this whole week. And that's how I managed it to go down my levels were up to 282. All I'm eating is lean meats, veggies, and fruits.
@haneefsmommy yes I'm on insulin anything below 120 I don't have to take insulin.
@shortstuff28, I don’t think you should deprive yourself carbs just have the recommended carbs. They have low carb bread
Did your doctor recommend insulin? This is my second pregnancy with GD first pregnancy it was controlled but I got it way too early this pregnancy and numbers were high so he put me on insulin.
I gave up. Honestly last week I tried and brought it under control. I am hungry and can't do it anymore.
Lemon water is the key. I have had it since i got pregnant. Its hard to control. No carbs. No sugar
I have it too 😣 my high was 207 & it’s been around 130 since.. I’m trying & it’s really hard so far to get lower results.
@laila92, I always did good with Greek yogurt too! It was just enough sweet that I craved

104 after meals is good! Don’t beat yourself up too hard! If it’s fasting if needs a little work try playing with bedtime snack I did well with yasso Greek yogurt bars
I found that snacking when I'm not hungry only brings up my sugar levels.
