What could cause a fever? Low grade. He has no other symptoms, just fussy as hell and temp of 100.4. Last night it did get up to 102.5 but went down. I just don’t know if it’s teething or not. He’s never had a fever before and he’s 13 months.

Still trying to wrap my head around all this. Told my boyfriend. He’s just as anxious as i am. Ahhhh.
Takin my son to the Er been crying all day and fussy he’s running a fever 100.6 and getting higher.. 😭
My 2 year old has fever of 102.6 And I already have him a lukewarm bath and he’s been in just diapers all day to cool off and iv been giving him Tylenol but nothing is lowering the fever ☹ any advice ?

Could be anything at all. 100.4 is the upper range of normal so I wouldn’t worry about that but last nights temp could be teething could be ear infection could be nothing but being overly tired

Sometimes viruses won’t have any symptoms until after the fever

Teething won’t cause fevers 100.4-102.5
If it goes back up I’d take him in to see if it’s ear infection or strep.

@lex105, I was thinking maybe a ear infection, my daughter had a double one a couple weeks ago. And was pulling on her ears with a low grade fever. But I would take him in.

@mrscecco316, he woke up from his nap completely fine. 🙄 but if he gets a fever again tonight or tomorrow I’ll definitely be taking him in.
