Sooo I didn’t get to do a maternity photo shoot with my first and I really want to do one this pregnancy but all the good local ones and I can’t seem to find a lot are soooo expensive! Maybe it’s a NY thing 🤷🏻♀️ I’m curious are any of you doing a professional maternity photo shoot and mind telling me how much yours is? I live in a fairly rural area, so this isn't really a huge thing here. My husband did take some pics of me & belly outside around our property that I think turned out lovely. I do like seeing all the fancy photo shoots, but for me, that was an expense I didn't need.

I am doing my own. I do photography and setting up my bedroom and doing it on my bed since I am on bed rest. You can also do it yourself even if you are not a photographer. They have so many phone apps to bring special effects to your pics and make it amazing. I also do editing and I would be more than happy to edit your photos for you. If you cannot afford a photographer, find someone who can take decent photos in natural sunlight that are centered and don't cut your head off, just get "beautiful and dressed up and pose" and I can do the rest in lightroom or photoshop.

I agree! There was a lady who wanted to charge $600 for newborn pics with a free maternity shoot🤔 and I had to come to her. SMH! No thanks $600 can go towards my baby. Plus I’m pretty decent with my camera. My friend and I are going to do my newborn pics at my house and I’m going to have Dh take pics on my camera at a park somewhere and see how that goes.

I never did maternity with my first but want to with my second especially after gifting myself a dslr camera. Self timer some stacked books on a table and a nice day outside, resulted in awesome family photos I have yet to share haha. Two weeks until my due date and I still haven’t done my maternity photos.
