So my daughters dad just told me straight up, he will not be at the hospital for HIS daughters arrival, and doesn’t know if he will go up there to meet her and sign the certificate.

Basically just make him financial responsible even though he doesn’t physically want to be there. 🤷🏻♀️ he still made the baby with you so he has equal responsibilities with your daughter.

Don't put his ass on the birth cirtificate. Then you dont have to deal with him at all until he pays for a DNA test and takes u to court for rights.

Document everything. When she is born file for sole custody and child support. If he doesn’t want to be a dad, then okay. But he is still partially financially responsible as he helped make her.

I agree with @yvelid, & @leslyev92, you and the baby def don't need him to be there if he hasn't been there for the pregnancy but he needs to be responsible for the life he made. And aren't these men embarrassed when the f***** state MAKES them take care of their kids financially 🤦🏼♀️

@a.lares, some of these men aren’t embarrassed by shit! It’s just sad that they are like that, like why bother being with someone if you are gonna act that way when reality sets in. It’s beyond me!

That's fine. Remind him that it'll be court fees for the mandated DNA test + whatever monetary arrangement you will have. Agree to privately test (much cheaper) and sort it out as adults.

Hunny.. Don't sweat it.. Don't worry about it.. Because if you put him on the birth certificate that gives him legal rights.. If he puts you threw anything like what my ex husband put me threw you'll be happy he's not on the birth certificate.. Once someone is on the birth certificate it is hard for them to sign rights over or get off the birth certificate.. If he goes to get a DNA it will prove weather or not he's the dad.. If you get state help hell then have to pay child support.. That will not give him visit.. He will have to go back to court for that.. They are 2 different things
