My twins have only been able to sleep separate. They would always wake each other up sleeping together. They do make pack n plays that have an infant insert which puts them higher like a crib would. If you opt for one of those, make sure you check the weight limit on the infant insert.

Yeah it only goes to 15 pounds. And they are just about that

We had to put ours in separate cribs because they were waking each other also.

Do you have enough space to get a singleton bassinet? Or would that be too small or not up to the weight limit you need?

To small. I'm either getting a smaller crib or gonna use the pack in play with a tight fitting mattress I guess if that's safe

I had to separate mine as well. One of my sons learned to get out of his crib at a year and he would crawl into his brothers crib every night. They’ve slept together ever since and it’s always made me feel so awful for separating them.

We actually had one in a crib and one in a pack n play because we had one of each thinking they would sleep together. Eventually the one in the pack n play moved to his own crib.

Anyone use a mattress in a pack n play?

I was lucky enough to find someone selling two mini cribs with regular thick crib mattresses. My twins are now just over 2, and still fit comfortably in them. My babies started out in the NICU and one of my “requirements” for having them released from the NICU was a guarantee to have two separate sleep spaces. It worked out just fine. Their cribs have always been right next to one another, and I have been blessed with great sleepers! It’s hard to tell in the photo, but the mini crib mattress is just as thick as the matress in my oldest daughter’s full size crib.

(My first was 15 months when my twins were born, hence three cribs). I kept the babies in my bedroom until they were about 18 months old.

The woman I bought them from told me that they came with terribly thin (like changing table thin mattresses) she ordered the regular matress online. I can take a pic if you’d like.

How come when I type in mini cribs on Amazon or anywhere it comes up with the same size crib I have and it's no mini crib. These cribs are only like an inch smaller in high and width. I don't get it. How is that mini?
