So I'll be 14 weeks on Saturday. Since being pregnant I've gained just under 4lbs. Is that a healthy rate? I'm curious how much weight you ladies have gained...
@mamaspatt, no no it’s okay! And I exclusively pumped. I have flat nipples so my daughter couldn’t suck when she breastfed, so I decided exclusively pumping was the best decision for me.
@princessrose did you continue to pump or anything after Sorry for all the questions lol
@mamaspatt, yes, I did quit all together at 4 months. I don’t think I’ve lost any more weight since 2 months pp but like I said I don’t even get near scales. I don’t like to work out so there’s no point for me to even act like I care about my weight. Even my doctor said don’t get in a scale while pregnant. She said eat what you want. It’s the only time you get to do so. Lol
@princessrose I've heard breastfeeding burns a lot of calories. Did you stop all together at 4 months?
@mamaspatt, no, I didn’t work out at all. I breast fed for 4 months and my daughter was only 6 pounds so idk where all that weight even was. Lol. But by the end I was shoveling food into my mouth like I was a bottomless pit. Lol. I wouldn’t worry about weight unless your doctor is. I only started gaining weight after I hit about 17 weeks.
I gained 50 pounds my whole pregnancy. My doctor said my belly was measuring right on track so my weight gain was healthy and fine. I lost 30 by 6 weeks pp and idk how much I weigh now and I don’t stress about it tbh.
@soon2bemama yea that's my problem. I have to eat breakfast or its painful. Lunch I don't really do so by dinner time it's a juggle of trying not to stuff my face. I gotta work on the lunch part lol
@soon2bemama that's good. I try to do the same. I've gotten too full sometimes and it's the worst. I'll try eating 3 times a day
For those who lost weight, are you glad you aren't gaining or does it concern you? Or is it just whatever you know
@soon2bemama wow I couldn't imagine losing so much. It just seems like it wouldn't make sense but it just happens like that I guess.
Yeah! As long as baby is measuring good week by week your okay😊
@lex015 as long as baby is healthy right. I guess there is no standard to how much you gain or lose
@boosienana ok so it looks like I'm right on schedule with 2-5.5lbs. I naturally don't eat a lot and the pregnancy has made me eat even less. I never really liked sweets but I tend to be eating sweet things now.
@mamaspatt yes I lost about 5lbs in the first 3 months and have gained up back to 9lbs
Oh ok that makes sense. So at 4 months you started her on baby food?
