Me and my brother were. But we did not have the same birth mother. Our parents told use maybe between 7 and 8 maybe. I don't remember and I don't have anyone to ask unfortunately. I don't remember feeling much. I remember my mom got a book about a child being adopted and she read it to us. I still have it somewhere
My parents told me from when I was very young, young enough that I don't remember ever not knowing. It never bothered me, they did a great job of making sure I knew I was their daughter even my mom didn't give birth to me. I also had a book about being adopted, and I still have it.
I did meet my bio parents and siblings when I was older, that was weird and uncomfortable, but mostly because they are all pretty crazy.
My siblings and I are all adopted. We all have gone on to meet our own birth families. Our adopted parents are amazing and always told us we were adopted. And encouraged us to meet our birth parents when we wanted to find them. My adopted mom will always be my mom but I share a very close relationship with my birth mom and her two daughters. My birth dad on the other hand, basically tries to push my adopted family out of the picture and wants to replace my dad. Which will never happen. He still doesnt have life figured out quite yet. He’s not into drugs or drinking but just doesn’t know how to have good healthy relationships. Even with his children he had after me.. I talk to him and see him occasionally.
