Just curious on other mom’s opinions...
How old is “too old” for a baby to have a pacifier/binky?
I think the earlier the better. We did at 8m or so. I didn't want her to keep from talking bc one was in her mouth all the time. When I see 3/4 yr olds with them I think it's a bit ridiculous, but 2 I don't think is a big deal.
I think this is cute for kids lol even tho I know 4 and older is way to old for one my son is one he will give it up when he’s ready .
We stopped the bottle and the pacifier on our son's first birthday. Prior to that, we did slowly wean him off of both so by the time his birthday came around it'd be less traumatic.
I usually leave my kids have the pacifier up to a year old or before theyre bday same thing with their bottles cause of theyre teeth
I think after a year, but when you see there teeth growing u shouldn't let them use one.. causes problems in the long run
About 6 months, that's about when I stop giving them pacifiers. But I'd say no more then a year.
I had a pacifier for my son before he turned one. And when I got rid of it, he found his thumb. He’s been thumb sucking til now, and he’s three xD it’s a bad habit and we’re trying to break it.
My daughter over one and she still loves her paci. I haven’t taken that away because when she sucks her thumb her eczema in her hands flares. I hope to break that soon when she’s a little older. Maybe close to two.
I had mine till 5 so if my son wants his till then he'll have it till then. I only used it at that agr when i was sick. It had no effect on my teeth
1 year. Luckily my boys gave it up before then. I hate seeing a fully grown child at the park waking around with a binky in their mouth. That’s just my opinion.
If they still have it at 3 I think it’s time to give it up. My daughter is almost 2 and still has hers, it says it goes up to 3 on the package. Plus I’m not going to just up and take away something that brings her comfort.
When my daughter turned one we took it away. I just worried about it messing up her teeth
When they can talk. I think it's ridiculous when they have to pull it out to talk 🙄 My oldest had one until about a year and a half (looking back too long) and my youngest never used one.
I stop my kids when they are around 9 months
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
