stink help
My 15 month old pees so much and its very strong smell and it was only after 1 pee. I change after every pee anyway but the stong smell doesn't happen unless I forgot to change it right away. I had to stop using cloth at night because of the smell. I wash every 2 or 3 days and I do a rinse with cold and a wash with warm/hot with soap with extra rinse and then I do another rinse. I don't know if its a wash issue or his pee. Im wanting to stop using cloth because of the smell

That really sounds like bacteria build up. If more detergent doesn't work, try a bleach soak

I washed last night and in increased the soap. I dont add any extra water my washer doesn't let me and if I try and trick it to add water it will drain it. I fill the soap to the max line on the washed so ill see how it worked. They dont smell when they come out of the washer only after he pees in it.

how much detergent do you use? increase it. if that doesn't work, you may need to bleach first to kill bacteria then use more detergent. how much water are you adding? too much water can decrease the agitation. diapers need to agitate against one another to help clean them

HE is HE whether it's top or front loading. Have you tried the wet towel trick to get more water?

I found this online yesterday: http://www.cottonbabies.com/blog/2009/08/cloth-diaper-stink.html
I'm hoping it helps me. My lo is only 5 mos but I just started noticing stink over the past couple days.

What does it smell like? if it's an ammonia smell, you may need more detergent. If it's barnyard, then you're not rinsing enough or using too much detergent. What detergent do you use?
