I'm so tired of being told
We can't do anything. I get not being able to drink alcohol and coffee. I steer clear of these, anyway. But some pregnancy sites tell you you can't have a hot shower; it must be lukewarm.... Recently I've become afraid to eat ice cream. I mean seriously ICE CREAM!! Bc of all the listeria concerns... Now I hear the they are trying to say ultrasounds cause autism. They should just make a short list of things we CAN do...
My oldest son is 16. I'm preggo with #6 (well, #7.... This is my rainbow baby!) I craved hot dogs with one, subway ham & cheese with another. With my daughter all I wanted was tuna casserole. And I indulged every craving. I had successful pregnancies, and the kids are all healthy and have no disabilities. I had ultra sounds on a bi-weekly basis (for 5 months!) with my twins and they also turned out just fine! I think a lot of these "restrictions" are a farce.
My ds is 2 1/2 and we think he might be autistic. Early childhood intervention tested him and agree. We are waiting on an official diagnosis from a specialist. It takes six months to get in to see them. I religiously avoided anything that could harm him while pregnant. I still stress about everything. I can't take the thought of going through this again. Thank you for sharing.
I'd steer clear of the ice cream they have recalled. Certain things are just crazy. Like sleeping close to your cell phone can cause cancer.
My son is functionally autistic. I did everything I was supposed to be doing and he still has it. They aren't sure what causes it or exactly how to prevent it either.
I have been so sick lately, the only thing I can stomach is ginger ale. The baby's father complains (while he is drinking alcohol in front of me), "you should stop drinking the ginger ale it's bad for the baby" - it's like I gave up alcohol, coffee, quit smoking... Now you want me to give up ginger ale too? Enough is enough!
I agree but I have had some bad news myself and I do believe no matter what you do what will be will be ? so just do and eat what you want in moderation and be grateful everyday of your pregnancy as you never know what's around the corner ?
