I don't know what to do!

Hi ladies! My 2 month old is EBF and I cannot travel further than 15 minutes away from my house. She used to like rides but now I have to stop every five minutes to nurse her or she'll scream in the backseat until she chokes on saliva. I always feed her on both sides before we leave with hopes that she'll stay content for a while, but nothing works. Does anyone have any advice?

My second son did this! It didn't get better until we switched him to a convertable seat around 7ish months. Maybe he just wasn't comfortable? Or got over at the same time? Idk but it was AWEFUL. I dreaded putting him in the car to go anywhere.

Both my kids has a phase at around 2 months old when they hated the carseat. As other pp said, a pacifier, music/ signing and a mirror helped a bit until that phase passed. A month later it was already way better.

My ds was that way too. We lived in the country and most places were 20-30 mins away. It was the worst few months. I tired everything to help me like car rides. Then I changed his car seat. He was like a different baby. I don't know why but he didn't like the first car seat we bought. It really made a world of difference. I guess it was uncomfortable.

My 2 month old screams/cries when put in the car seat. It's tough on the ears. She does choke on saliva but she's fine. She goes about 15-20min until she falls asleep from exhaustion or arriving at finally destination. I tried pacifier and she doesn't care for it. I just take a deep breath and hope I hit all the green lights lol

I can deal with an older baby crying in the car, she's just so small. She won't take a pacifier at all. I'll try the mirror. Thanks.

I had one child that did that and another that would cry every single time the car would stop like stoplight cry stop sign cry .

It was pretty difficult for a while

@bebe, shhh don't tell her that! I didn't want to mention that my 19 month old screamed the entire 10 minute drive to the grocery store today! ?

Do you have one of those little mirrors on the seat so she can see you?

My daughter was the same way! Once she figured out how to keep a pacifier in her mouth it got better. Other than that, you just have to give it time. It should get easier as she gets older.
