Pediatrician and water

I just took my two month old to the dr, and she told me to start giving her two ounces of water a day! If I didn't learn anything else on this app, I learned not to give an infant water.

That's too young. Sometimes the benefits outweigh the risks for medical reasons but this doesn't seem like one of those situations.

Def start looking for a new pediatrician momma . Baby is still too small to start drinking water

That's so weird it seems common knowledge you don't give water to babies ?

I don't usually say don't listen to a dr but that's just silly

Good op. I think she's to little for water. We use Karo corn syrup for constipation.

She's not constipated. She said just to get her used to water ??‍♀️. We're going to a new ped for her next appt

Oh no! ? I'm glad you know better. I would also look for a new pediatrician that kept up with new recommendations better.
