Ok ok ok, I have to admit. When my newborn finally came home and I had to be responsible for everything, it was overwhelmingly tiring. I had to wake up every 3 hours to feed him, change him and burp him. Every 3 hours. I also could barely sleep because I’m always trying to check to make sure he was still breathing. Since his was born premature, I’ve been trying to breastfeed him but since his latch is not strong enough, I would pump my milk and feed it to him through the natural flow bottles. He’s gaining weight now so soon I’m thinking he will have a better latch as his mouth grows. The problem is, I haven’t been pumping every three hours for about a week in a half. Now my milk is barely coming in. Tell me: Since it’s not all the way dried up, will I be able to increase my milk supply by increasing my pumping sessions even when no milk is coming out? Is it all downstream for me? I bought the lactation cookies some of you suggested and been eating them two days now. I’ll get some tea to help as well. Any other insight will be great because I really want to breastfeed my baby because my mom did it for me and my bro and I didn’t get to have the natural birth. Help!

I think as long as your milk hasn’t completely dried up you can get your supply back. Pump a lot. I would say at least every hour-hour and a half for 10-15 minutes (more if you have the time) and it should help your milk come back

Pump every 2 hours in the day ans 3-4 at night. and continue to pump for about 10 minutes after you stop getting any milk out. It will prompt your body to make more. Stay hydrated and make sure to eat enough as well that will affect supply too.skin to skin with baby helps too

Try warm wash cloths and compress downward to help the milk flow. Sometimes clogged ducts happen from inconsistent pumping/nursing. That should help keep the ducts cleared. I used to even fill my bathroom sink with warm water and literally dunk my breasts in the water while using both hands to apply pressure downwards. This will encourage the "let down" you need to get more milk flowing. When you feel that sensation, put your pump on the breasts (both since one side will leak) and start the faster suction just like the baby would at let down. I was told this from a lactation consultant. Let me know if this helps too!

I don’t even feel the let down people talk about. I just see the milk come out. What does the let down feel like? Maybe I’m overlooking it

I really want to exclusively breast feed.. my baby doesn't latch well an i can't pump more than 4 oz a day. I was to stop using formula but I have no idea how to increase my supply no matter how many times I power pump, put baby to breast, pump every 2 hours. my supply never increases as a fact it's dropped I'm barely getting 2 oz a day now :'( I feel like my body is failing me

Hello mommies and mommies to be. I was pumping since my son was not latching on, I even went to a esspeciallist and he was just not latching on. So I was just pumping every 3 hours, I massage my nipples and I did skin to skin but my breast still dried up like I pump but not enough to even fill the bottom of the bottle 😢 Is there something else I can do or something I can take that would make it come back and increase it???

Hey breastfeeding mamas sooooo I need some suggestions on how to increase milk supply I’m breastfeeding every 2-3 hours and pumping as well but my baby has a hard time latching so I use a latch guard which helps but I still feel like my milk flow isn’t what it should be I really want to keep breastfeeding and pumping cause I know it’s best for my babe but want to produce more so I don’t have to supplement with formula
