Broken bone question!
My son broke his finger really close to the knuckle so they had to cast it. She said he should shower with it outside the shower. In an ideal world, cool - but with a 10 year old, I worry about this. This is our first broken bone so are there any extra precautions I can take like wrapping it with a plastic bag or something?

So idk if I’m an asshole for thinking this but a girl I used to go to school with is having her 3rd kid and she’s planning a baby shower and she had one with her other two. I feel like a baby shower is something you do with ur first pregnancy. I live far from my family so I didn’t have one but i did have a baby registry and I’m not even doing that with this pregnancy. Idk I just feel like 3 baby showers is a lot! Especially when she gets things handed to her. Idk maybe I’m an ass for thinking that

When dh had knee surgery they recommended covering it with press and seal wrap, it worked really good!

He did it at school on Tuesday catching a football during PE class. He said it didn't hurt and that he jammed it. We watched it for a few days and it didn't get any better so I took him to urgent care yesterday and sure enough, it's broken. Also on Tuesday, he turned over his dirt bike and scraped up his knee and elbow. They all thought the incidents were related but nope, just being a boy! He's beat up but he's walking around like the coolest kid ever proudly wearing his battle scars and gloating that he's the first person in our family with a broken bone! ?
