I'm totally gutted right now! ???
My first trimester screening results came in and the geneticist called me this evening. All of the test for chromosomal abnormalities came back excellent 1:10,000 - low risk! However, I have low PAPP-A. Out of a range of 1-100, my results show 1! The lowest possible reading. It means I have a poorly functioning placenta.
What nationality am I guys getting my results tonight or tomorrow

I'm sorry. I can't imagine what you are feeling but so very happy to have the assurance of some explanation and peace with additional support and monitoring. This Sunday is the walk and rock. Try not to stress my friend's bub had a low functioning placenta and she was monitored so close and had a 2.5kg bub

I'm so sorry. That's such a scary thing to find out, I cannot imagine. But hopefully knowing means that they can do better to prevent complications.

Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes. It was an emotional night where I cried myself to sleep, but this morning I'm trying to have a new outlook. I'm reminding myself I've had 3 healthy babies - so I CAN do this. (Thanks K! ?). I've read a few things that stated it MAY be linked to a zinc deficiency - so I'm going to discuss that with my doctor, along with a few other things that you wonderful ladies suggested. ☺️ I'm so grateful for all of you!
