Weaning
I feel terrible but I think I need to wean my 16 month old. I really wanted to go until 2 but it's getting out of control. She nurses all night long. She screams and cries unless she's on the boob. She wakes up 5-10x a night to nurse and we can't break it. I get no sleep! I'm also going out of town for work twice in the next month and a half and I have no milk pumped. Ever since I got pregnant with my 4th, my milk stopped letting down when I pumped. I haven't tried to pump since we lost him so maybe it's different now? I don't know. I'm so devastated. Any advice?

Do you give her cows milk or cows milk alternative as well? I nursed my oldest to sleep for 16 months. She also drank almond milk at that point. When we were ready to wean, I replaced nursing with a bottle of unsweetened almond milk (I know bottles are not recommended, but it was most like nursing and worked for us) during nap first and eventually at night. I switched almond milk to warm water pretty soon after and she would put herself to sleep with a bottle of warm water. Right before she turned two, I replaced bottles with sippy cups of water and that transition was pretty easy as well.

Following. My dd is the same way.

She won't drink anything other than water. We tried giving her juice once with some iron supplements and she wouldn't drink that either. She's a picky boob girl.
