Books?
I'm trying for an all natural, unmediated VBA2C in a few months and I need some good reading material on natural birth, different methods, etc. Any suggestions?
How many moms had the epidural ? And how many moms went natural and what was your experience in going natural and would you recommend anyone to do it ?
How many plan to have a natural birth?? If you've experienced natural and or meds how was your experience? Which was better??

Guide to Childbirth by Ina May Gaskin and The Birth Partner by Penny Simkin. My Midwife recommended those to me and I am reading Ina May's book right now and the other is for my boyfriend but I'll probably read through it too. :]

Husband Coached Childbirth by Bradley is AH-MAZING. It's what started me on the whole path to natural childbirth. I also agree that Ina May's book is worth reading...even twice!

Ina Mays book was good. But it didn't provide me the information I specifically wanted such as birthing positions and comfort positions for each stage. I really recommend Pregnancy, Childbirth, and the Newborn by simkin, whalley, keppler. I got it from the library and photo copied what I needed.

I liked Ina mays guide as well especially for the positive birth stories. I also read/used hypnobirthing by Marie Mongan and used the method of relaxing each muscle from head to toe. I didn't agree with everything in the book like there is no pain if you're birthing right. But I found the relaxation stuff helpful. For positions I was given a packet by the doula we rented our birth pool from. We did a mini private birth class with her but didn't use her doula services. I found I got a ton of useful information and inspiring birth stories by attending our local Trust Birth meetings. Those ladies knew a ton, had lots of great advice and stories and the topic was different every month so it was always something different.
