Tick on my vag!!!!
Ahhhh! Every fricking time I go outside, I get a tick on me! Ugh!! I'm so over those nasty little buggers and it's only the first week of May! Are they this bad where you live? (I'm in VA)

Lol! No, actually I was wearing skinny maternity jeans (the kind with the high, over-belly band) and underwear. It probably crawled up from the bottom of my jeans. I checked myself when I got home and didn't see anything, we went out to dinner and then when I came home, I undressed and as soon as I pulled my underwear down, I saw that sucker crawling around. I freaked and jumped right in the shower!!

There's an interview with Steven Yeun, Glenn from The Walking Dead, and Conan O'Brien, and Steven tells him about the time he "had a guy on his guy." As in a tick. On the very tip of his penis.

No ticks here in Cali... Not where I am anyways. I hated ticks when I lived in other states, but never really got them at all. Maybe just one every once in a while if I was walking through tall grass etc.

We do nightly tick checks too! Both kids have been bitten.

I'm in northern VA, we took the kids to Manassas Battlefield and that's where I picked it up. It didn't bite me, thank god, it was just crawling around down there. Of course it was the dreaded deer tick and SO small I couldn't feel a thing (common with most ticks).
We have them in our yard too so we treat it. The problem is we have really tall pine trees which is where they love to live and breed, so if you walk under the trees in the yard, they just fall on you. Last year, we were gardening and I came in and found two on me. One time I went trail running and found 4 (3 of which were in my sports bra).
They are attracted to warm, darker places, where the blood is easily accessible. Most common places for a tick bite is in your groin area, under your boobs, armpits, etc. I been bitten TONS of times in my life, I was always outside exploring as a kid so it was just common. I've never been sick from a tick bite though, nor have our animals. I just don't want them on my lady bits! :-)

Ew... that grosses me out. I hate ticks! I live in North Idaho. They get bad in the woods here but in town is rare. My brother brought over the bear he shot just yesterday to show my son. It was in the back of his pickup and the ticks were just crawling all over him. Because his body was cooling down they were all pulling out.... They were all over. It was sick!

My dog got Lyme disease from a tick. It was absolutely terrible. It affected her neurological system and she still relapses occasionally. Make sure to use a flea and tick med that repels not just kills. Most of the preventatives on the market the tick or flea has to bite before it dies, at that point the disease can already be transferred.
As far as humans always use bug spray and they have natural repellents for ticks too. I use to think ticks weren't that big f a deal but they are and they can have a lasting affect on the ppl they infect.

Nope, not bad at all here. I've seen 1 tick on a human in over 20 years, and 2 on cats.
Honestly, leeches from ponds are a bigger issue here.
