Ticks! I pulled over 50 off of DD! They were smaller than freckles. Always check your babies, ladies!

Thanks ladies! We have been keeping a close eye on her. She has been a little irritable, understandably from all the itching. I'm just sad because I leave tomorrow for work for 18 days. I don't want to leave my baby girl! :-(

The itchy bumps could just be a reaction to the grass...I put my dd in the grass a couple days ago and when I picked her up, 5-10 minutes later, little red bumps appeared.

Hopefully she doesn't get Lyme disease. The tiny ones are the ones you have to be leery of.

Maybe I'm strange, but around here ticks are a very common occurrence any time you're out in a field or grass, or at the lake. Everyone just picks them off, kills them and moves on with their day. It is known though to go to the hospital of you're having strange symptoms later on because they can typically carry diseases. Dogs and kids are more likely to get them because they are closer to the ground whereas adults stand most of the time. That's also why so many lawn care workers around here where pant in the 100% weather.

The spots, but if they stick around it could possibly be poison ivy. Or even chiggers. Chiggers look almost like a rash but you can't pick them out easily like ticks, we kill them with nail polish. I hope for her it'd chiggers instead of opinion ivy. Chiggers are annoying, but easily fixed. Poison ivy is awful, poor girl. Hope she gets better whatever it is :)

Yes, we took her to the doc and they are also testing the ticks. This pick is only of one baggy, we sent all the bags off to the lab to be tested.

Luckily she was already on amoxicillin for an eat infection. The doctor said that may help to ward off any illnesses. However, the next morning she woke up with itchy bumps all over her legs. Not just where the tick bit her. It looked like poison ivy to me but we took her back to the doc just to be sure.

We think she walked through a nest or something at DS's football practice just waking through the grass.

They were all over her body but mostly on her legs and under her diaper. They were BARELY noticeable. They looked like freckles but I knew she didn't have that many freckles!

@abforever, I live in Florida and there are ticks here. A lot of outside animals and strays can carry them.

Holy crap I've only seen that many ticks on an outside dog before! How did she get so many on her?!

Make sure you get her tested for lyme disease. My dad had it the sooner you catch it the better. He didnt know he had been bitten by a tick. He noticed the bullseye but passed it off as ringworm. He muscles and joints started to deteriorate and he had a hard time moving around. Hes better now but he had a hard time for awhile.

Not trying to scare you. Just don't want anyone especially not a baby go thru what he had to.
