Do kids even get chicken pox anymore?!?!

DS has itchy bumps all over his back. It doesn't look like poison ivy. No 'outbreaks' of anything at his school... Not sure what it could be!

I'm not sure... We noticed it last night and again this morning before school. Now that I'm thinking about it though, maybe a grass allergy? On Wednesday we went to the park with a friend and they played Tag and hide and seek and were running around and rolling in the grass. I remember something happening a few year ago when we were camping. I thought it was poison ivy then, but it cleared up in 2 days which it's too fast for poison ivy.

Do people get rashes from grass?

If he had his vaccines it 's possible he got it, but unlikely. He probably has something else. Doctor wil be able to give you something to clear it up. It could be anything...irritation, scabies, some virus. Hope he feels better son :)

Really?!? I know it's a silly question... I just never hear about kids getting it any anymore... And he has had all his vaccines. He doesn't have a fever or anything. Looks like we'll be taking a trip to the doctors... Poor guy can't catch a break! :-(

Outrageous! A 5 year old was detained and questioned at his school for taking a toy gun to show his friend. He was so scared he wet his pants and his parents weren't notified until 2 hours into the questioning. He was suspended for 10 days, but it was reduced to the 3 days he had already served after the parents and others complained. The school stated that the situation was handled appropriately and would be handled in a similar manner in the future.
