LEAVE HIM!!!

Every time someone posts something about their man, whether it be a rant, a problem, or seeking advice, I feel like there are always a ton of woman who just say "leave him"! I'm sorry but 9 out of 10 times that is NOT the solution!!! Don't get me wrong, I think divorce is needed in some situations, especially if there is verbal, emotional, and physical abuse or infidelity! But not because he hasn't helped you clean, you got into a fight or some other "totally solvable situation"! Again, I know men can be a$$ hats and can really hurt our feelings or tick us off... But these aren't always reasons to up and leave!

I agree. I feel one way one minute and another the next. I'm in no condition to make life altering decisions about my relationship especially over some of the nonsense I stay mad at for days or weeks at a time. I think I'm representative of most women with husband rants. Leaving is definitely appropriate in abusive situations though.

@Indiangirl, divorcing my husband was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life! It's like losing them to death. I had to go to counseling for a year because it was so "traumatizing". Our daughter was only 2 at the time and she doesn't remember but if we spilt now, it would just destroy her!

I agree with this post. I left my wonderful husband a few years ago over problems that were fixable. He took me back, we worked in our issues and now, we are more in love than ever. Marriage is an adventure, it's not always easy.

I agree op. I doubt that most of the women saying leave are in perfect relationships themselves. Of course abuse is the exception but sometimes counseling even helps there.

pp: Divorce is not only traumatic it causes severe anxiety and insecurities in children btw.

Especially when there's children. Divorce/leaving is traumatizing to them so it should always be the last option. Of course the big no no's are an exception.

I also think in some of the post that ppl are over exaggerating the situation. Not the physical abuse but other ones. There are always 2 sides to every story. Just like I know I can be a complete b*tch to my DH and he with me. If u come off as a b*tch and with an attitude he will with u. If u want respect u have to show it too. It isn't just a one way to goes both ways. It takes 2 to tango.

I DO NOT. Agree with physical, mental, emotional verbal abuse but I also know that if I hit my DH really hard and he was scared for his life he would protect himself. But DH is very gentle and respectful as I show him respect.

Guilty! When I read about the atrocious things some women are dealing with in their relationships I say dump him. Abuse is a deal breaker for me. Dump him.

Well my partner left his dirty plate on the table. I packed up his sh!t and threw it on the lawn! Momma don't play those games. He's never seeing his daughter again!!!

What a jerk, huh?!

I wander if a similiar situation was happening to these women who say "leave him" would they leave their partners too? Things like that are always easier said than done and are always handled differently by different people. What happened to trying to work through issues before the big D word Is mentioned?

I agree with maigan. However, I also agree that divorce shouldn't always be the immediate decision. I've posted "leave him" before and that's been for abusive situations. No one deserves that. Furthermore, i have a hard time supporting women, whether married or not, who continue to enable the behaviors they describe on some of these posts. If you allow it, you promote it. Just my 2 cents. 😕

Where their partners have cheated, hit them or something along those lines I think leave them. But I agree with op too many people give this solution far too easily. It's annoying, especially when you just know they wouldn't take that advice themselves!

I dont know, a lot of these posts involve stuff that totally flabbergasts me. I can't believe some of the things that these pregnant women deal with! Maybe I have very high standards but some of this stuff is just atrocious to me and would be an absolute deal breaker. Then again, I also can't understand how some ladies decide to have children with their men that are obviously messed up. So, I dunno.

Agreed, I never complain on here about my OH. He gets on my nerves for sure, but he's a great man, dad and provider. I wouldn't want him complaining about my mood swings lately lol

Sometimes you know your body better than everyone else. Not every woman will produce high levels of hcg throughout pregnancy some it can take weeks some it can take months don’t trust a blood test don’t trust a urine test trust your heart and when you know it’s times it’s time this doctor was not a gynecologist so he did not give me a quantitative blood test to actually see what my hcg level is at I hope this helps some of you ladies who just feel like giving up and stop testing because of what everyone else thinks or what a doctor tells you trust your body you know your body better than a blood test and a pee test and god will lead you to the right path

Hi Preggies, We've had some requests from moms who are going through difficult emotional times, before, during and after pregnancy. Some of you may be feeling alone, sad and anxious in an already challenging time. Some members would like to create a group where they can support each other and stay positive when it seems nearly impossible. Anyone interested in joining this group would comment here and then follow those women. Then you can look out for each other and send positive words of encouragement or just lend an open ear. One or two of you could also lead the group as well. Also, if anyone has a counseling background or would like to help out, please join, too. However, if you are feeling completely desperate and have nobody to turn to, please call 911 or another local hotline for help. Best, Preggie_USA
