Daughter won't sleep? Advice?
My daughter will be 5 in April. She is having sleeping issues, she wakes up in the middle of the night and is up at 5 every morning. This has been going on for about a week and 1/2. This isn't like her she normally sleeps until 730, later if I let her. Is this normal?
How much does your kids sleep around age 3 or 4? I feel like my daughter does not get enough she is up by 630 almost everymoring and its such a fight to get her to bed like 9 930 she refuses to nap. Is this natural? She even will tell you she can't sleep its hard for her.
So we got in super late last night. Had to carry my daughter to bed. She had the nerve to try and wake me up at 7:30am saying she wanted breakfast. Smh (She wanted me to fix her a spread)🙄 I told her to choose some cereal. I'll fix her a bowl. Of course there wasn't any cereal that she wanted today 😴 I told her spoiled ass to figure it out and I went back to sleep 😂🤣 She ate an eggo.
My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤
I'm concerned my daughter sleeps too much. She's normally up between 6:30-7:30 and is up mostly all morning she does occasionally nap (car ride, stroller ride) but never more than an hour. Every afternoon she sleeps for about 3 hours then I wake her up at 5 to be up for the evening and to interact with Dad. During the night she sleeps 3-4 hour stretches. Is this normal?
Dad's FB Video!! Did anyone see that video a dad posted on his daughters FB page? He saw a post she made where she bashed her parents and cursed them, called them lazy and told them they should pay her for stuff she did around the house... So he called her out on it and put the video on her page!! Sorry if I missed a post already about this already, but I just saw the video and IT WAS AWESOME!!! Hahahhaa!

What time is she going to bed? Does she nap? Would she drink some chamomile tea before bed?

If I made the tea cold, I'm sure she would drink it. She goes to bed at 9:30 every night. We do the same routine too. Bath time brush teeth read a book go to sleep.

Sounds like a good bedtime to me. And since she doesn't nap I don't think she's getting too much rest.
Could something be bothering her at school? Maybe she's feeling anxious and having trouble sleeping. I hope not but it was worth throwing the idea out there.
Hope you figure it out mama that must be frustrating.

I've made it very clear that she can tell me anything and everything that is bothering her, she loves going to school everyday and gets to hang out with one of her friends after school 2 days a week (her friends mom watches her for me) I have not a clue what is going on. I'm wondering if I should set up an appt with her ped?

That bed time sounds kind of late to me. I don't know much about it, but could going to bed earlier maybe help? Maybe she's over tired? Just a thought! :)

Dd goes to bed at 830 and is up at 7 and that's been the schedule for years.
But since something isn't working for you, maybe try bumping bedtime to 9?

I think I'm going to slowly try to transition her down to an early bedtime and see how things work, If the bedtime thing doesn't work what would you ladies suggest?

Why is she waking up in the middle of the night? Has there been a recent change? I mean at five they're pretty able to tell you if somethings up that they're aware of, have you asked her?

No changes. She has been in pre k since September, has had the same bedtime routine forever. I've asked her what's waking her up and she says she doesn't know. The only thing I can think of is if DS wakes her when he wakes for a bottle, but he never use to wake her before.
