Nap questions
At what age did your children stop taking naps? My son is 3 (just turned in January) and nap time is becoming increasingly more difficult. He either throws a tantrum or he just doesn't sleep despite being cranky and so tired his eyes are drooping. On the days he actually sleeps, he will sleep for 3 solid hours, but those days are becoming less frequent. He just transitioned (within the last week) to a regular bed from his crib and I've noticed an increase in the napless days since then. Is 3 too old for naps? Is he just adjusting to his new room/bed? Any tips on making it less of a fight?

My 2 sons are 4 & 3. They still nap. On the weekends when my daughter is out of school she also naps. She's 6.

My daughter turned 3 in feb and she rarely naps anymore.
Maybe I'll try the movie approach. Yesterday he didn't sleep at all, but he did lay quietly and read books for awhile. The crankiness all evening was horrible. If he doesn't sleep he actually ends up going to bed later because he's overly tired.

Dd is 3 and she sleeps 2 hours every day. I have no problem putting her down for a nap, every day she goes in at 1 and gets up at 3. I was actually wondering thr same thing, I know she can't continue this on forever, even though nap time is my favorite time of the day!
My DD is 2.5 and like pp she doesn't nap because she was staying up until 11-12 at night after napping.
My dd is 3 and still needs a nap. She is to the point now where when I tell her it's nap time she will go potty then go get on her own bed. Same a bed time. I just go make sure she is cover up and give love. She goes some days without a nap and is pretty cranky by bed time. When we are home she gets a nap
He stopped at 1.5 so it's seems so weird to me when I hear 3 year olds are still napping

Dd hasn't napped since 2 1/2. Bffs dd still naps daily at nearly 5.
Man, mama! If I could trade naps for him sleeping til 9am, I would! He's never slept past 7:30am. For quite awhile he was up at 5, so we moved his bed time back a bit
My son stopped at 2 and he is now 3. Always been a great sleeper though! Goes to bed at 8pm and wakes between 9am-10am :)
I want to keep enjoying nap time too, Hannah! It's when I get stuff accomplished (or take a nap myself. Lol). If his bedtime was being affected I would definitely stop them, but at this point it's not.
My kids still napped up until 3rd grade lol
My daughter quit napping around 1.5 years. I think someone was slipping her nodose behind my back.
