Yeah I had steroids 2 days before delivery I think it was.

Well she explained it to me today baby has iugr. She is still 2/5 palpable and just got to keep eye on movements. She said if my cervix had of been favourable on Monday they would of induced me sooner. X

Did you have to have steroid injections? I'm gonna ask tomorrow if I need one or not as I've heard they normally give you them if they're gonna induce early... X

They never said what was wrong with mine either, even after she was born they wouldn't say anything. It wasn't till I looked at her discharge notes they had put down iugr.

It's reassuring that you have been through the same thing and your baby is fine. It's the unknown I think that is the scary part. I do feel that they should tell me what they think is going on and not keep me wondering....I know they can only tell me what they know lol x

Mine they couldn't find a reason for either. She was born at 2440g. It's really hard not to worry. Just keep an eye on things and if something don't feel right go straight up there. X

2342g she weighed 2140g 2 weeks ago so has only gained 202g in 2 weeks and has fallen right off the line...they told me to keep an eye on movements but no reason why. They said they can't find a reason why she isn't growing properly x

I had the same. My 1st born was born at 40+2 weighing 8lb 6oz. And my second was picked up at 20 week scan that she was nearly 2 weeks behind in growth, and I wasn't off with dates as I was scanned at 6 and 7 and 10 due to slight bleeding. I carried on having scans and meeting up until she stopped growing and no waters. she was born 5 lb 4oz and is now 10 months and 16lb. She's perfectly fine. I think they worried as my 1st was large. She was diagnosed with IUGR on discharge papers.

It's super hard not to worry they told me to watch movements as her cord may become compressed. I was so so scared everyday that I would loose her.

How much are they saying baby weighs?

I think it all depends on baby movements if they weren't as good as they are then I'd see consultant sooner. Which is why I have to go on a tracer twice a week. Does anyone know if they do internals regularly to keep eye on my cervix? X

Also if the consultant doesn't want to see you for 2 weeks that puts you at nearly due so good chance baby might appear before then if there were serious worries think they would have you back to see consultant in a week xx

With you being so late on I would say they aren't to worried and just want to keep an eye I think if they were worried they would deliver you early try not to worry to much although I can only imagine how hard that would be xx

Try not to worry my boy was measuring small (10th percentile) I had to have scans every two weeks from 30 weeks they said the same water, placenta and movements all fine. They told me to keep an eye on the movements too. Anyway I had a scan at 38+6 and they estimated him to be 6lb I had him 5 days later and he was 7lb 13oz so either they were way off and caused extra stess and worry for no reason or my boy had a massive growth spurt at the end which I doubt. If there was anything serious wrong they would get the baby straight out. I'm sure you will be on here in a few weeks telling us all you've had a healthy baby and the growth scan was wrong x

My friend was in a similar situation to u. She ended up having her son at 32wks he was a tiny 3lb. He's now 7m & weighs more than my 14m old lol absolute chunk bless him. He was in special care until term x

This happened with my first lg no reason what so ever she was born at 38 weeks 4.5lb she was just small she is almost 9 now and still small just the way it is sometimes

Sorry I'm 37weeks +2. My first LG was 6lb8 10 days overdue and I had one growth scan with her but she followed the growth line. This LG has fell off the line...I feel like there's something more going on then what they're telling me...they just continuously keep telling me keep an eye on movements especially because she is small. Wth does that mean? X

My little girl was only 5 14and a half at full term 2 days before due date she's a little chub at nearly 3.. I gotta have 2 growth scans with my little boy to make sure he doesn't stop growing near the end xx

How many weeks are you? I had this with my lo and after 3 extra scans and measuring waters etc she had a massive growth spurt. She was 6.10 born at 41 weeks. I just had small babies despite being a big girl size 16-18.

My boss said that her little girl wasn't growing much she did end up being induced early but her her nearly 6 year old who I look after is completely fine has grown lovely try not to worry

Someone I know had a 5lb4oz baby at 41 weeks and he was fine, and is a healthy 1 year old now x
