Swaddling
So nether of my older kids liked the swaddle at all and so we just didn’t swaddle. Now my 2.5 mo does, but is breaking out of the swaddling blanket and as a result doesn’t make long enough (she tries to suck her fingers and gags herself. It’s equal parts upsetting and kinda funny but I digress).
I had this problem with ds1 and now with ds2. They always break their arms out of the swaddle. I looked it up with ds1 at different swaddle methods. There's a website that I used but can't remember what it was since it's been over a year since I've looked. But I use a 2 blanket swaddle method. It's so much easier for me to swaddle than the traditional method. And the arms stay the whole night. You use a big swaddle blanket and a smaller receiving blanket. I'll try to find the website that I used and share it.
At that age my son was also a master at busting out of his swaddle but had such a strong Moro reflex he would wake himself up if he wasn’t. We’ve used the halo sleep sack and the magic sleep suit and had good success with both. The sleep suit shouldn’t be used once baby can turn over in it, so it’s ideal for under 6 months. After that, you can experiment with different sleep sacks. The nice thing about the halo with the Velcro swaddle is that you can still use the sack even after you discontinue swaddling.

I got ones similar to these. Swaddling her in a regular blanket made me nervous because she would wiggle out and the blanket would cover her face. This has worked amazing and she’s so comfortable and sleeping better! They have ones that are thicker material too (it’s freezing here!!) from tj maxx or Marshall’s
My baby breaks her swaddle and she's only 4 weeks.
Lol
I actually do find it funny sometimes because she has been doing it since birth, how is that possible.
I wrap the swaddle my mom wraps the swaddle and a few seconds later she is slowly bursting her hands free like a alien movie.
Lol
So I've given up on swaddle for now.
She's more comfortable free.
Im also very sceptical about moving her to her crib at night because of this.
So for more now I'm coslepeeing.
Eta: Wow after reading the comments above I'm definitely going to be buying a swaddle, I feel it's safer for her to sleep in her own space, and momma body won't be in such pain during the day from sleeping like a triangle.
Lol
So we tried this little sack thing that had no arms and zipped up. Shaped like a peanut. It had mesh near the mouth so babe could breathe in case it crept up. It was great cause he could still move his arms a bit but had the feeling of being swaddled. Here’s a similar one:

To transition out of that swaddle, we use the zipadeezip. Ds1 wore it until 2 years and ds2 is in it now. I can’t say enough good things about it.

I used the Merlin's magic sleep suit with my youngest because he was so dependent on the swaddle. I was starting to get nervous that he was going to roll over any day, but he'd wake instantly if I tried to lay him down without being swaddled.
The suit worked really well! There was still an adjustment period. I started out using it during naps first. But it definitely made the transition much smoother.

I bought this one. She didn't really use it though, by the time I found it she was already like 4 months and she only used it for like 1 week, before that we just swaddled her the old fashion way
Maybe your little one will like this one. This is the original version, I bought the summer lite version .
Thanks! I’ll go take a look!
