Toothache remedies
I am entering my 16th week today and I have been experiencing toothaches the past days. Not sure why but it usually comes and stops at times. Usually my gums feel sore and then next it won't feel like it. It is just weird. Would you have remedies for this? Is this even normal at this stage? Thanks mommies ❤?
The most common causes of sensitive teeth during pregnancy is hormones. Pregmancy hormones can actually affect the way your body responds to bacteria, which can lead to periodontal infection and sore teeth and gums.
Salt Water Rinse – Rinsing your mouth with saltwater can help in removing the mouth-dwelling bacteria. You can control the level of bacteria inside your mouth by regularly having a salt-water mouth rinse.
Honey, Ginger and Lemon Tea Rinse – Rinsing in this antibacterial solution also provides toothache relief. The ingredients are all known to be effective when it comes to killing nasty bacteria inside your mouth.
Sage Tea – Make a tea out of dried or fresh peppermint leaves. You can simply put the leaves in boiling water and leave it soaked for few minutes. You can use the tea as your mouthwash and spit the water out after gargling.
Clove oil, massaging, gums, dry brushing, peppermint oil, ice packs, and hot packs, hope this was helpful. I've been there before.
I feel for you on this . Not long ago I had a awful toothache I was in tears and up all night with nothing but Calpol in the house .
I took calpol as my hubby to be was on his night shift but even then I was waiting by the door for him to come home. I took 3 paracetamols and went to sleep .
I must of brushed my teeth 4 tines but I left a bit of tooth paste around the area that I had the pain .
I also drink cold water and held some in my mouth a pushed it to the side where the pain was . I must of tried everything I could with no meds but calpol lol xxx hope it gets better soon .
I’ve always said I’d rather give birth then have a toothache xxxxx
