So paranoid about having a huge baby

This is my 2nd time with GD. My son was 6 lb 5 oz, but born at 34 weeks so he would have been huge. Last time my numbers were always really high and I was on 2 types of insulin before every meal and at night. My numbers have been good so far, with the exception of fasting. I just got the call today that the doctor wants to start me on insulin at night only to try and control the fasting. Since my other numbers are way better this time, do you think there's less of a chance my baby will be really big, or does it not really make a difference? I've lost 4 pounds since being diagnosed and I try to eat really healthy anyway so I just want to do anything I can to have a normal sized baby.

I'm a bit worried of this as well. I am having an at home unassisted water birth. I did watch a women birth an 11lb baby all natural so that made me feel better.

Have they done a growth scan? On my first appt with the specialist I was referred to because of GD she perform one. And then again 2 weeks later on the 2nd appt. to see how much the baby was growing.
